Watch
The University of Leicester has adopted a highly devolved approach to implementing Personal Development Planning (PDP). This approach has been taken for a number of reasons.
1. It enables departments to build on existing practice with regard to students’ skills development. 2. It provides departments with the flexibility to tailor PDP processes in a manor which best suits their students. 3. It allows departments to work with and build on existing personal tutorial/support arrangements. 4. It should encourage students to see PDP as a mainstream activity rather than a “bolted-on”, component of their experience at university. This project is consistent with the University of Leicester's overall approach to implementation, and has the potential to inform practice in other departments. |
